Asylum
Who is eligible for asylum in the UK?
To stay in the UK as a refugee you must be unable to safely remain in your own country for fear of persecution related to your:
- Race
- Religion
- Nationality
- Political opinion
- Cultural, social, religious or political situation in your country (such as gender or sexual orientation)
In addition to the above, you must also have failed to get protection from authorities in your country. If you are unsure which category your claim is most relevant to, our immigration team can assess your case to provide the best possible course of action.
